Although GUPPY EFFECT (the band) is in a re-organization phase right now, I am still doing lots of cool music stuff and if you go to guppyeffect.com, and click on the CALENDAR links, you’ll see what that stuff is.
I am the new house bass player as Mason Lounge Jazz Night every Tuesday from 9 PM to midnight. I am also playing (bass of course) at Summerfest on Thursday July 4th (1 to 2:30 PM…discounted admish before 4 PM) with a very cool country rock band called DRIVEWAY THRIFTDWELLERS. I am proud to make this band my first Summerfest live performance. It’s akin to losing your virginity…
Anyway, GUPPY EFFECT will be back after we iron out a few kinks.
Also, stay tuned for the new (old) cover band B4 the Storm to make an appearance before summer’s end. If that name sounds familiar, then you are on the right path. This is Phil Dickert’s band (brand) and he is back in Madison after a hiatus honing his musical chops in Austin Texas. I get to play bass for this shite and check it out, cuz it is going to blow your brains and sphincters out.
Lastly, the world’s best house party rock-n-roll band, HIATVS, is planning a big surprise.
Think of the biggest surprise you could get and triple that surprise, is how big that surprise is going to be.
