Bass Lessons

Hi Friends.

I teach bass guitar lessons, and I have some availability on my calendar for interested students in the Madison WI area and points east.

Bass guitar is the coolest instrument in the world to play. It requires the dexterity of a lead guitarist, the musical knowledge of a piano player, the rhythmic ability of a drummer, and the driving force of a rhythm guitarist. It is, in essence, the GLUE that ties an entire band together.

Think about what a band would sound like without the bass guitar. It would be tinny, soulless, and empty – lacking body and spirit. Why do you think The White Stripes finally incorporated bass guitar into their music?

I was nominated for BEST BASS PLAYER OF THE YEAR in the 2010 Madison Area Music Awards.

Although I didn’t advance to the finals (Dang it! I knew I should have practiced more…), I can with a fair degree of confidence say I am in the top 5 best bass players in the Madison WI area.

I don’t say that to toot my own horn. I say it to let you know I’m available and worthy to teach you what I know if learning bass guitar is your thing.

If so, E-MAIL ME or simply leave a comment on this blog post (which WORDPRESS will then forward to me).

Don’t forget to give me your contact information and best time to reach you. I will respond promptly.

PEACE!

Joe

  1. Joe is a great bass instructor . I have been taking lessons with him for about a year and my playing has dramatically improved. He will tailor your practice sessions to whatever goals you have. He’s not a guitar player trying to teach bass. He’s a bass player teaching you.
