In a few weeks, I will start February Album Writing Month, a.k.a. FAWM.

It is a 28-day challenge to write 14 songs.

That is a song every two days.

It’s perfectly doable, not that all 14 songs are masterpieces. Most aren’t.

But a handful are. And that is a lot better than having no songs at all.

I’ve done FAWM the past 3 years. What else is a rocker going to do in February, the bleakest month of the year?

FAWM is more about forcing “INSPIRADO,” and it’s a great exercise in finding the MUSE on demand.

This year will be super cool, because I will be in Nashville January 27-30 for a songwriting workshop and I am sure I will return home from that giddy with excitement to crank out some NEW SONGS.

I hope you will consider participating as a writer or a listener.

It is FREE. It’s a personal challenge, not a contest. I know many of you are music lovers and appreciators, so your feedback and critiques are of great value to me.
